Plot: When legions of ugly creatures, known
as Kaiju, episode rising from the sea, a war began that would get millions of
lives and guzzle humanity’s resources for years on top of end. To combat the huge
Kaiju, a special type of weapon was devised: massive robots, called Jaegers,
which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a
neural bridge. But yet the Jaegers are proving almost defenseless in the face
of the relentless Kaiju. On the verge of defeat, the services defending mankind
have no option but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a washed awake former pilot
(Charlie Hunnam) moreover an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to
make a legendary but seemingly out of date Jaeger from the past. jointly, they
stand as mankind’s most recent hope against the mounting disaster.
